Yoga 101

Bring your yoga practice to life with this 5-week course created for beginner and aspiring yogis. Each class will introduce a new yogic principle and set of fundamental yoga postures commonly used in open-level classes, with plenty of space and time to explore and ask questions. By the end of this course you will know how to use props, understand how to modify poses to fit your personal ability, and feel confident to drop into open-level classes with a strong base of knowledge and experience.

• This as a reaccuring class for 5 weeks. Feb 18th, 25th, March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th @ 2:30pm-3:30pm.
• The cost is $125 for the entire course. If you miss one week a video recap will be made availble for particiapnts. 
• A minimun of 6 students must sign up for this course to take place. 
• This course is for woman only

Facilitator bio: 

Dia Dearstyne is a professional-dancer-turned-yoga teacher with a passion for thoughtful sequencing and safe body alignment. She received her 200hr YRT through Yoga Vida NYC; 85hr Prenatal Yoga certification through the Prenatal Yoga Center under Deb Flashenberg; and has logged 200 hours towards her 300hr YRT certification through Yoga Vida NYC. Dia leads her yoga classes through dynamic and accessible asana with warmth and inclusivity. She recently moved back to Brooklyn with her husband and their new baby after spending the past year teaching yoga throughout the Hudson Valley, most notably as a Lead Teacher at the Newburgh Yoga Shala in Newburgh, NY. Dia also leads the Essentials of Teaching Prenatal Yoga portion of Newbugh Yoga Shala's yearly 200hr YTT and hosts her own YouTube channel, Yoga With Dia. Learn more at www.yogawithdia.com
